Crazy Thailand!

Yes it's true, we are in Thailand!
After hanging out in Saigon for a few days shopping, eating noodles and visiting museums, we got a flight on the 5th of Sept to Bangkok.
We arrived and got a taxi to a tourist area and found a dingy hotel for 250 Baht p/n (about $10), unfortunately, it was the crappest hotel room I have ever seen...basically a bed with 4 walls, so we were happy when the chance came up to get a sleeper train that night to the far more luxurious Ko Samui.
We got to Ko Samui early the next morning and were greeted with vast expanses of beach and sea, we made friends with a hippy Thai guy from Norway (if that makes sense) who got us a really good deal at a resort that's right on the beach, we haven't moved since.
In between lying on the beach we made a trip to the next island for the full moon festival. It was heaps of fun, the beach was full of people dancing, eating, drinking and swimming all night. We got UV paintings of the Aussie flag on our cheeks in true spirit!
Two days ago we hired a motorbike and explored the island, we found some nice places and visited some waterfalls (I even went for a ride on an Elephant). And today we hired jetskiis - top speed of about 60 mph they were so much fun, i had to hold on so hard not to fall off that I ripped the skin off my hands (jack did fall off!)
Tomorrow we have a snorkling and kayacking trip booked that goes to a few other Islands in the area and then the day after we are taking an overnight bus back to Bangkok for our final night in Asia, and then...I'm scared to say it but we're going to Europe!
