Hi everyone!!!
We are in a little place called Yi-chang or something (haha only population of 3 million or so!).
Well let's see, since our last post in Shanghai we have done a lot of travelling!
In Shanghai we took a river cruise and took advantage of the incredibly cheap beer with our tour group. The next day we took a train to Nan-Jing and had an interesting time trying to communicate with the Chinese people sitting accross from us. One girl had the hots for Jack!
In Nan-Jing there was a lot of street stalls and we got some good buys. We went to a place called the 'purple mountain' which was like a theme park full of tombs and temples. We saw a dead guy and climbed lots and lots of stairs. China has been quite a workout!
We got some washing done and I made friends with the doorman who was so cute! (he loved Annette!- jack wrote that). In the evening we went on a paddle boat cruise (another workout!) along the river and there was lots of lights up everywhere. We turned it into bumper boats and everyone rammed each other.
Then yesterday we had our second overnight sleeper train experience, but this one was for 20 hours!!! There is so little space! But it went by fast enough and if it wasn't for the unflushable squat toilet that was shared by 100 people it would have been lovely!
This afternoon we arrived in Yi-Chang and had a group dinner and it was the best dinner in my life!! Possibly cos we didn't eat much on the train but yum! And it only cost $4 per person!
Tomorrow morning we are boarding a river boat for a couple of days. Hopefully we'll be able to post some more photos soon!

haha me again, i'm not sure whether or not you're checking your hotmail so i figure this is easier? For oktoberfest: apparently its wise ot make a reservation in one of the tents so you dont have to wait in lines to get in. It doesnt cost anything you just have to contact one of the (many) drinking tents and make a reservation. I'm going to make one for me, brogs, smets and john so if you guys want in i'll make it for 6 ppl! Catty
